Comments about Westcott Spiderlite TD5 Fixture:

The fixture functions well and is typical Wescott. It looks very industrial without a great deal of concern for aesthetics. The switches for the individual lamps should be where they can be accessed if it is mounted on a boom or out of reach. To adjust power settings you have to physicall touch the back of the fixture. Cord mounted switches would be very helpful. It would be nice if the fixture had a socket for a light stand instead of a stud that requires a separate bracket for mounting.

Comments about Westcott Spiderlite TD5 Fixture:

The TD5 with the 50watt bulbs have a beautiful quality of light. I photograph infants, and prefer not to use strobes. These give a soft, window like quality that I love. My only wish is that they were a bit stronger. You need to keep the light very close to the subject.

Comments about Westcott Spiderlite TD5 Fixture:

Spider TD5 delivers a professional quality light.
And mainly excellent Westcott engineering of the swivel knob is capable of holding the soft box steady and constantly in any adjusted position, not like similar lights of the competition Impact or Interfit
I have no cons comment, but I have a suggestion for Westcott engineers to increase the total wattage from 220 Watts to at least 500 Watts.
Brand name Westcott means top quality produts!!
Keep it that way, you guys!!!
