The PreSonus BLUETUBE DP is a two channel microphone/instrument preamplifier with Dual Path technology that delivers the best of both worlds. It offers a solid state preamplifier stage and a tube preamplifier stage in each channel, delivering either fat, warm tube tone or invisible solid state transparency.
Each channel of the BLUETUBE DP includes a -20dB pad, polarity reverse, 80Hz filter, and +48v phantom power. Front panel controls include a solid state GAIN control and switchable on/off Tube Drive. When the Tube Drive is clicked off, the tube preamplifier stage is bypassed delivering ultra-quiet and transparent preamplification. The front panel also includes illuminated analog VU meters for each channel for easy visual monitoring.
The BLUETUBE DP is great for enhancing all types of microphones including condensers, dynamics and ribbons, as well as instruments including keyboards, acoustic and electric guitars and bass. The unit is the perfect front-end preamplifier for any project studio, delivering a wide range of sounds and tonality all at an amazingly affordable price.

Comments about PreSonus BLUETUBE DP Preamplifier:
I love this pre-amp, but the tube it comes with is fuzzy-sounding when you try and saturate it. Fortunately, there's a simple solution. By replacing the 12AX7 tube with one of better quality, it becomes an amazing pre-amp for the price.
I have two of these units now. One I use for bass and guitar which I replaced the stock tube with a Mesa Boogie; the other one for mics where I replaced the stock tube with a Groove Tube Gold Series.
The one major drawback is the difficulty in switching the tubes. It requires almost a complete disassembly. There is also no power switch. You have to unplug the unit to power down-- which you'll want to do because of the current draw of the tube.
Despite these limitations, it's a good two-channel pre-amp at a good price especially if you're willing to put in the effort to change tubes.
