We have several sets of Sony MDR-7506 headphones in our kits. Over the years we've lost several of the screw on adapters. We've replaced them with straight push on in the past and they've worked out ok, but really wanted to replace them with the screw on variety. Sony wanted $9.50 each and they were on back order. I called the ever helpful folks at B&H and they quickly suggested I replace them with the Sennheiser adapters. They are perfect, actually better than the original Sonys.

Well built adapter also fits Sony, is equal or better quality and is priced much more reasonably.

perfect for tracking in a small studio, great isolation and clear faithful sound across all frequencies, at least that are audible to me. light-years ahead of the ,so called, tracking headphones I was using before. Highly recommended, at a great price.

I was looking online for an adapter for my Sony MDR-V700 headphones. Sony wanted 4 times the amount for a replacement adapter. I checked b and h and found this adapter for the senheiser headphones. I bought it wihout really knowing if it would work, but i figured for only [$] it was worth a shot. I got it in the mail screwed it on and it works great. If anyone is in the same predicament i was in this is a great alternative. I hope this helps.

The adapter also fit the Sony 7506 head phones. Maybe is will last longer. I had a problem with several of my original 7506 adapters breaking.

I lost the original adapter to my Sennheiser HD280's. This is (as far as I can tell) an exact match to the factory adapter. No issues whatsoever.

I have four sets of headphones made by another company. They require the screw-on adapter to convert from mini-plug to standard phone jack for most professional headphone connections. The adapters break from time to time and this Sennheiser unit is the perfect replacement.

Bought this for my Direct Sound "Extreme Isolation" EX-29 headphones - works perfectly. Also tried on some Sony MDR-7506's and works well there too. Same thread pitch (maybe everybody uses the same thread pitch for this application - I don't know). Less money than the Sony equivalent and seems to be similar quality, though only time will tell...

I had to replace the screw-on adapter for my HD280P headphones, it smacked on the ground and the tip broke off. The internal sleeve is plastic. I tried a generic adapter that doesn't screw on but it made the connection too long in my field kit. I'm not sure about other make/models of headphones but I'm sure I could have found something cheaper if I had the time.

Screw-on adapter works just as well as original. Great buy and hard to find on other sites.

I purchased this part because I needed an extra to carry in my headphone case for the times when I forget to screw the 1/4" adapter back on. On weekends I plug the headphones into my RME Fireface unit with the 1/4" adapter and later remove it when I connect the headphones to my computer. These adapters appear to be top of the line quality and I have never had a problem with them other than forgetting to screw it back on.
