I just received three of these. The quality is superb and the things are very customizable. Remember, Avenger is now owned by Manfrotto. You can stick any 5/8 pole, rod, whatever through the baby pin side. There are two threads on the baby pin side, which means you can mount a top on the other end too. You just need a set screw you can get at any hardware store. I mount two of these on top of each other using that technique.

I liked the price, but when I received it in the mail I was hesitant about the quality. Right away it bound up when tightening the head and it took some coaxing to get it ti work. As long as you don't abuse it too much, I guess it will last long enough to get your money's worth. Next time I will stick with the tried and true Matthews C-Stand products.

I've been using the Avenger grip heads for awhile and they've never let me down. They always hold tight, and that's the most important thing you want an item like this.

This is a solidly built grip head. The rubber coating on the knob allows for super-tightening. Precision-machined, great quality, excellent price.

The D200 Grip Head added much needed flexibility to my lighting stands. Up until I purchased the grip head, I used my 40 inch boom arm on my c-stand that worked, but was not super stable. Often times I would need to super tighten the arm to keep it from lowering on it's own because of the weight on the other end of it. Offsetting the arm with the D200 Grip made things much easier and does a great job of helping to balance and boom lights overhead without it falling down.

I bought this with the junior avenger light stand. I was surprised how heavy and solid the Avenger products are. Very good quality, this will last a long time.

Two of these hold my 6X6 scrim set up. 4 stars instead of 5 because I should have had these years ago but I never realized it. Pretty light but rather bulky.

This thing is solid, all metal and versitile. [...] I haven't yet used this clamp to it's full potential but it's obviously well designed for the purpose intended.

It seems that you can never have too many of these in the studio. We bought them to replace some older Mathews knuckles that were past repair. The Avenger series are plenty for what we need.

I bought these because I had one before and was very impressed with the quality. I've had no problems at all with these grip heads.
