Impact Collapsible Circular Reflector Disc - White Translucent - 22"
This Impact Collapsible Circular Reflector Disc is a versatile lighting tool for in the field and in the studio. It allows you to bring out the shadow detail in your subject, using available or studio lighting. The disc's translucent surface softens direct or harsh light.
This 22" disc is suitable for headshots and small still-life setups. It folds down to 1/3 its open size, and comes with a storage sleeve. We suggest the purchase of a pivoting arm and stand, to hold the disc where needed -- especially if you are working without an assistant.
- Translucent white produces a soft light that works beautifully for both product shots and indoor/outdoor portraits.

I bought this for on-street interviews and it works very well. It is large enough to reflect an even light on the subject when in a medium shot, but it is small enough for the PA to easily manage in windy conditions. Also doesn't draw lots of attention to you when on the streets on NY. When it folds up it takes up very little room in your kit.

As a reflector, this disc works great. But I really got this reflector actually to use as a diffuser. So, as a diffuser, it's okay, but could be better. It isn't as translucent as an actual diffuser, but does the job when you need an emergency diffuser. There are larger diameters available, but I like how this 22" disc folds up and can fit inside my backpack. The ring feels solid once untwisted too. I only wish the fabric loop was a little larger to use as a wrist strap.

This item is light in weight and folds down small to carry in my photo backpack. Just item for overly bright objects at high noon. The Ring is very stiff and doesn't bend in wind!

We are using this for an amateur film, and it has helped greatly with getting the lighting we want. If you have unwanted shadows and/or color distortion, this reflector will help. Just make sure you have a good light to go along with it.
Also, if you want to use this to reflect light into a scene, you'll want to go with something bigger. This is just too small. It works most ideally with head-shots and close-ups.

For the price I cannot complain, but I note that the fabric is a magnet of dirt/oil and it only happens with the one from Impact (I have other diffusers). I have to keep holding it in exactly one place to avoid soiling the whole panel.
