Impact Collapsible Circular Reflector Disc - Silver/White - 12"
This Impact Collapsible Circular Reflector Disc is a versatile lighting tool for in the field and in the studio. It allows you to bring out the shadow detail in your subject, using available or studio lighting. In addition, the colored surface allows you to modify the color of your subject. Your choice of color -- silver or white -- will be determined by the lighting conditions, and your personal preference.
This 12" disc is suitable for accenting small areas of a portrait, and very small still-life setups. It folds down to 1/3 its open size, and comes with a storage sleeve. We suggest the purchase of a pivoting arm and stand, to hold the disc where needed -- especially if you are working without an assistant.
- White produces an even, neutral-colored bounce light that works beautifully as a fill light source for both product shots and indoor/outdoor portraits.
- Silver produces a contrasty light with an edge.

I really like this reflector. It's small size makes it easy to stuff in a cargo pocket. It is very bright...almost too bright when working close with people. The white side is fine..but filling hard shadows requires the silver side and backing up quite a bit.. all in all I'm Very happy with this reflector

When working on macro work, my camera has to be so close in to the work that I have very little extra space for lighting, backdrops, cords, etc. This made it almost impossible for a good reflector to work, as it would cause more shadows. I needed someway to control shadows without making it impossible to look at the shots prior to pulling the trigger. This little reflector did the job as well as being a nice price.

I can carry it in my camera vest and have my grip use it for illumination in bright sun under the brim of cowboy hats. Better than trying to operate a light!! Like silver on one side and white on the other.

The reflector works well in bright light, but not fantastic in ambient room light. The material used could be more reflective to be much more useable using constant lighting.
Using one of the larger size reflectors would give you more light to work with.
The small size (12" extended and ~5" collapsed)makes this reflector easily portable.
