Impact Collapsible Oval Reflector Disc - Silver/White - 41x74"
This Impact Collapsible Circular Reflector Disc is a versatile lighting tool for in the field and in the studio. It allows you to bring out the shadow detail in your subject, using available or studio lighting. In addition, the colored surface allows you to modify the color of your subject. Your choice of color -- silver or white -- will be determined by the lighting conditions, and your personal preference.
This 41 x 74" oval disc is suitable for a full length portrait, and a large-size still-life setup. It folds down to 1/3 its open size, and comes with a storage sleeve. We suggest the purchase of a pivoting arm and stand, to hold the disc where needed -- especially if you are working without an assistant.
- Silver is highly specular offering high contrast and maximum fill light.
- White produces an even, neutral-colored bounce light that works beautifully as a fill light source for both product shots and indoor/outdoor portraits.

Problems Encountered: I read the previous review before buying this reflector, and was consequently a little hesitant, but it fits my needs and I'm mechanically inclined, so I bought one, prepared to figure out how to collapse it when I got it.It arrived this week, so I spent 1/2 hour last night trying to collapse it by myself, to no avail. (I'm very pleased with the way it stood up to the abuse I gave it trying to get it to collapse.)This morning, I asked my lovely, mechanically challenged, wife to give me a hand with it, and she said let me try it first. She successfully folded it on her first attempt (in about 5 seconds). So now I'm very satisfied with the reflector, I have newfound admiration for my better half, and I plan to have her teach me how to do it after work tonight!

I use this in my home studio with one Alien Bee 800. It reflects the light perfectly and my images are perfectly lit. I couldn't drop another $500 dollars for another strobe so I went with this little device and it is well worth it.

I find this to be a very useful size for a reflector and it compacts back into its packaging nicely... once you find out the trick. Comes with instructions though!

It works great, I just wish they would have included folding instructions. Either way, after practicing for about 30 minutes I was able to master the contortions required to pack it away.

I've worn out a couple of similar products made by other companies, the most recent being one that lost it's flatness due to warping of the metal hoop. The Impact reflector has a thicker, more rigid metal hoop that holds the fabric very flat and taut. I also appreciate that it is wider than the competing brand.

I use it as a back-up and more portable solution to my larger Lastolite Skylite Medium Reflector kit (uses an aluminum frame). Folds down to a small diameter and just works. Only complaint is that the black ring around the outside of the reflector is starting to fray. Also, my reflector came with a big mark on the white side of the panel. For the price I paid for this, it wasn't worth it to return the item. I've used this as a white background in a pinch, and it worked surprisingly well. Very very useful and a must for any portrait photographer.

There isn't much to say about it except that it's great andcovers a huge area. The case it comes in is nice and 3 timessmaller than the unfolded reflector. The only thing that Ican't find is how one person can fold it. I needed help fromsomeone else to get it back to it's collapsed form to fit itin its sleeve. That is the only bad thing about it. Nodocumentation, no instructions included...
Problems Encountered: No instructions that demonstrate how to fold it.
