I'd Like to Buy a Vowel...Adventures in Talk Box Guitar in SoundFont format from Sonic Implants is a collection of individual sample and phrases of a guitar recorded through a Talk Box. 266MB of samples of Talk Box licks, riffs, trills, bends and chords.
The Talk Box imparts its effect by running a guitar signal into a small speaker sealed in a metal box and then through a length of plastic tubing into a guitar player's mouth, allowing the lips and vocal cavities to shape and modulate the tone of the guitar.
Vowels can be chosen from a variety of "syllable" multi-samples including boo, boh, bop, wah, wow, "open tube," "closed tube" and the "wild card vibrato" articulation. Many sampled phrases are separated into four musical keys and three tempos. User created phrase can also be created using the multi-samples.
