Ilford Galerie Smooth Gloss Paper for Inkjet (11 x 17", 50 Sheets)
Ilford Galerie Smooth Gloss Paper is a heavyweight, white-tinted, inkjet paper that displays excellent color and sharpness. This paper is characterized by High Dynamic Range (HDR) as well as the added benefit of being "touch dry" straight out of the printer.
It is recommended that Gloss paper be left for 24 hours for consistent results. If pigment inks are used, they may lead to a matting of the surface in areas of high ink load. Some printers allow the use of gloss optimizers that can reduce this effect.

I recently used this paper for an exhibition of old photos (1890 to 1950). Ilford's profile produced a warm tone, which I didn't like much, and the contrast and detail rendering did not strike me as exceptional. It might perform better with different photographs. These photos tended to have large areas that were very dark or very light, without much detail in the midtones.
