This Impact Light Stand is aluminum, extends to 10 ft, and has 4 sections, with sure-twist section locks.
If you forget to tighten any section with your light mounted, the light slowly descends, thanks to the air-cushioning of this stand. This useful feature saves equipment, and fingers from harm during busy photo sessions.

I have three of these stands as part of a light kit. I have been using these stands for a few months now and they are holding up very well. I keep them in a storage case for when I'm transporting them or storing them between uses. They are a very good value and perform very well. I am the paranoid type so I wish the legs were a little more adjustable for a wider stance, particularly when using the mini-boom that came with the kit. The only other minor thing is the the lack of wrap-around rubber feet. Overall I feel they are a great value. Spending more money on higher priced brands is, well, just spending more money.

Decent stand. Use it with Impact 300w/s monolight. Biggest gripe is the fact that I stripped the thread in the bottom collar pretty much immediately. I have two more of these stands and had no problem with those. Must be a manufacturing defect. However, note, that ALL internal threads are plastic - handle with care.

I have two of these stands. I've used them 5 times without any problems. They tighten nicely without too much force. I wouldn't tighten too tight, the plastic band that tightens onto the metal stand could crack. They're sturdy and easy to use.

Built well, hold my strobes up well along with an umbrella or softbox. Can't complain. Some parts are plastic, which is okay, but metal would be nicer.

I use this stand for my Canon 430EX II strobe and a 45" convertible umbrella. Of course, you'll need an umbrella bracket as well.
The stand is built well, and it is sturdy. Everything is fits together well, and there are no loose parts. I have had no problems with this light stand so far.
For the price, I don't think it can be beat!

I havent had much weight on it as I use it to hold a 580 EX II flash and umbrella but it is sturdy and would hold more weight. Easy to use and fold.

I use this stand to hold a speedlite and a 60 inch umbrella. I already own a couple of sturdy stands that can hold studio lights. So, for me an extra lightweight stand that I can move around easily comes in really handy.

This light stand does just what it says... goes to 10 feet and is air cushioned. It's solid, durable and well-made and I expect will be long-lasting. It's lightweight enough to carry around easily.

Use the stand with monolight and 24" X 32" softbox at 9' without sand bag without incident. If there is activity around the stand would weigh it down at that height.

We got these stands with some Lowel Light Kits and they are great. Very good construction, easy to adjust, and very sturdy. We mainly use them inside an office studio, but we use them on site from time to time as well. I would definitely recommend them.
