The Whirlwind MIX-5 is a 5 channel mono audio mixer designed for broadcast, sound reinforcement, recording and sub mixing applications. All 4 input channels feature both 3-pin XLR female and 1/4" phone input connections. Both XLR and 1/4" connections are switchable to accept microphone or line level signal. Balanced and unbalanced operation is selectable for each input.
L/R RCA phono AUX inputs accommodate 2-track devices such as CD and cassette players. The output stage provides mono XLR and 1/4" phone output connections that are also capable of microphone or line level operation. 18 VDC phantom power is available and the front panel features volume and pan control dials for every input channel. The single space 19-inch rack mount enclosure is rugged enough to withstand the rigors of road use.
