The Gates GL2 mechanical underwater housing is designed for the Canon GL-2 or XM-2 camcorders. The housing is constructed of bulletproof aluminum, an anodized and urethane sealed finish with stainless steel positive locking safety latches for strength and durability. The housing provides total control of camera functions with reliable mechanical controls, crystal-clear optics, built-in magnified viewfinder and internal color correcting flip filter.

Since it is a mechanical controlled housing sealed with o-rings, you don't have to worry about being in a remote area, and needing a soldering gun to fix a corroded connector.

The included WP35 wide-angle port is a high quality distortion free glass port with a wide-angle lens giving you a 90° angle of view. The Gates EM253 External Monitor with its large 2.5" color active matrix LCD display makes framing, focus and other settings easy to see even in bright sunlight is also included.

The kit also includes the Niterider Pro 40 video light system that has two dual beam 10 watt HID light heads with two 12" articulating arms. The lights are constructed with nylon reinforced high strength polymer shells that will allow the lights to operate up to a depth of 500.

 Features include variable outputs of 10, 20, 30 and 40 watts with a four position switch on each light head. Each light has a 6000 degree kelvin color temperature and will cover a 90 degree area. A bracket to attach the battery to a housing is included.
