Comments about Zeiss 25mm f/2.8 ZM Lens - Silver:
This is a great lens for use with the Leica M8 camera. But you need to encode it as a 24mm Leica Elemarit. Once encoded, with a 46mm IR/Cut filter in place, the colors are vibrant and beautiful. Without the encoding and IR/Cut filter, the colors are somewhat off.
I hesitated buying this lens because all my other lenses for the M8 are Leica and I really like the "look" of Leica glass. And when I first put this lens on my M8 without the encoding, the colors just didn't look good. I was planning on sending it back, but then encoded it and WOW, the colors just popped. I now love the "look" of this lens and it will probably be on my camera more than my Leica glass.

Comments about Zeiss 25mm f/2.8 ZM Lens - Silver:
This is my fourth Zeiss ZM lens and is top-notch as are the others. Mechanical and image quality is simply great.I really like the Zeiss "look". I use this wide angle for close-in, crowded, pre-focused street photography and for scenics. Sharpness and color rendering is superb.
