Comments about Chief RPAU Inverted LCD/DLP Projector Ceiling Mount (Black):
This is a great mounting bracket for my new Panasonic projector and I would have given it 5 stars if the necessary 1/4" lag bolts were included so I could complete installation without having to make a visit to the local hardware store.

Comments about Chief RPAU Inverted LCD/DLP Projector Ceiling Mount (Black):
I found this bracket just what I needed to hang a small NEC projector. It did take a minute to configure the arms to get the projector's center of gravity under the pipe mount, but once arranged, I had a level instal in no time flat. I loved the tools needed came with except for one phillips screw driver.

Comments about Chief RPAU Inverted LCD/DLP Projector Ceiling Mount (Black):
This unit was recommended to me when I ordered my Epson 8700 UB projector as a universal mount that I could use for mounting it to the ceiling. I have a sloped ceiling to deal with so I also had to order a separate mount for that part of the install, along with a piece of threaded pipe that matched the drop distance from the ceiling to this projector mount. This thing worked exactly as advertised for the Epson. It is solid, relatively easy to work with and provides excellent leveling capability once you loosen the screws that were way too tight as shipped. I was very concerned I might strip them just trying to loosen them enough to perform the adjustment. But it worked as advertised and I am very pleased with the results.

Comments about Chief RPAU Inverted LCD/DLP Projector Ceiling Mount (Black):
We used this product to mount a ViewSonic PJD5122 from the ceiling of a classroom in our church. It worked perfectly for this task. The fact that it has the 1.5" threaded hole makes it really compatible with extension poles you can find almost anywhere. It is a little on the pricey side, but you won't find anything like this for less money.

Comments about Chief RPAU Inverted LCD/DLP Projector Ceiling Mount (Black):
We installed our Epson 8500UB with this bracket. It is sturdy and well-designed and provides adjustments for up/down and left/right. There's also plenty of options to install in different types of situations (slanted ceiling, high ceiling, etc). However, additional parts will be required from a hardware store (i.e., a 1' pipe with threads to install in a high ceiling). Overall, I am very pleased with this mounting bracket.

Comments about Chief RPAU Inverted LCD/DLP Projector Ceiling Mount (Black):
We have used a wide variety of "universal" projector mounts, and always come back to the Chief RPAU for success and reliability. You may be able to save some money on other products, but stick with Chief to keep your projector safe, in place, and secured.

Comments about Chief RPAU Inverted LCD/DLP Projector Ceiling Mount (Black):
I have 3 of these mounts and use them for temporary install-- adding multimedia projection for live theater (on Sanyo XU-105 projectors). The fact that they thread onto 1 1/2" o.d. pipe is invaluable. They seem to hold focus well for the most part, but I would be wary of using these with heavier projectors and/or permanent installs .

Mounted a portable Optoma projector using only three of the available legs.
Worked great. Seemed a little expensive.
