The JVC GR-D250 slim and compact mini DV camcorder provides high quality picture and 25x optical zoom that lets you close in on your subject with a pure optical quality. With its 680,000 pixel CCD and 520 lines of horizontal resolution, combined with JVC's Super High-Band Processor, it assures high-band components of the luminance signal for a crisp, clear picture.
The GR-D250 incorporates Power Linked Operation that prepares the camera to record simply by opening the LCD or pulling out the viewfinder.

- With this mini DV camcorder, you will realize truly amazing picture and sound quality. Images reaching up to 520 lines of horizontal resolution reveal stunning detail and clarity.
- Super High-Band Processor
- Digital technology expands the camera signal's frequency range to raise the video's horizontal resolution to 520 lines, taking full advantage of the DV format's original resolution.
- Data Battery
- Allows the user to check remaining battery and recording time by simply touching one button even with the power turned off. This feature allows you to check what remains for both the battery and recording time before shooting, so you can prevent the battery from running out during shooting.
- Web Camera Function
- You can connect the camcorder to your computer via iEEE-1394 interface and use it just like a Web Camera for your teleconferencing and remote monitoring applications.
- LCD Monitor
- Clear View LCD monitor suppresses diffusion of internal light to deliver a brighter, clearer image, and also reduces reflection and glare from external light so that images are always clearly visible even when shooting outdoors in bright sunlight.
- Picture Stabilizer

I have just tried it for the first time and the picture quality is very bright and clear. Pretty easy to use but still trying to learn all the features. Nice camera for the price.
Problems Encountered: Even though the picture is great, I am having a little problem with the audio when I played it back through my DVD player. There seems to be a lot of unwanted noise, like static and the instruction book does not refer much to adjusting the volume or noise filtering of any type. Hopefully it's me and not the camera characteristic.

This is one great Mini DV. I have used a lot of camcorders mostly Sony and Canon but this is the first time I have ever used a JVC brand... my surprise the picture quality was good specially on outdoors this gives out a very clear picture with very bright colors. The colored view finder is an added bonus for a low priced camcorder this is a sure plus. the sleek design and small compacts size is a big plus also.
Problems Encountered: The problems that I have encountered are its small wrist strap, it looks like its gonna snap. They could have used a bigger one to make it more durable. another big problem is the colored night shot.. Picture quality is really bad the video motion is so slow that its like using a camera set at maximum film exposure causing blurred images. Even though its in color, rather want is green as that of the Sony's but with the right frame speed.battery life well the battery that comes with the package only last an hour or so.. its kind of fast so I would recommend that you get a spare ...
