The Azden WLX-PRO is a 2-channel VHF wireless lavalier system, allowing the flexibility to switch channels when interference is present. Clean, reliable RF performance, delivers a range of up to 250 feet in ideal conditions. All receivers and transmitters in the PRO Series operate on the same 2 frequencies (169.445MHz and 170.245MHz) and utilize the same circuitry, making them interchangeable.
A wind screen, earphone monitor, shoe mount, touch fastener and lightweight belt-pack transmitter with two frequencies are all included. For professional videographers on a limited budget and video hobbyists, the Azden "PRO" Series provides a 2-channel wireless microphone solution without sacrificing quality and performance.

Got this wireless lavalier for use on my DSLR. The included lavalier is okay; the cord is just long enough to hide the transmitter on the user's back end without pulling on the mic on the front. The transmitter has a standard 3.5mm jack input, so I could use a different mic should I desire. I like how the receiver has a plastic shoe to mount atop the camera, but I also wish it had a swappable clip so I could attach to my belt if I wanted to keep the hotshoe free. In addition to the main output jack, the receiver also has another input for listening in on the received audio from the transmitter; a single earphone is provided for plugging into this monitor jack. The reception on this kit is quite good. With the camera at the upstairs corner of the house, I was able to transmit clean audio all the way at the opposite corner downstairs, going through many walls. The receiver lets you know when you've lost signal as well; the LED shows green when it picks up the transmission, or when when it doesn't. The belt clip on the receiver feels a bit cheap though; I feel that I'll break it very soon. THe overall build feels somewhat cheap, but it's perfectly fine for light usage.

I was shocked upon receiving this product after all the reviews I had read here. The audio was VERY soft coming out of this product causing me to have to max out my mixer into the camera. This introduced a buzzing sound that was very audible in post.
I returned this set and went with the Audio-Technica ATW-701 Wireless BodyPack Microphone System for only about $30 more. The different is night and day. If you can deal with the limitation of having to be near an outlet for the receiver, the Audio-Technica kit blows this set out of the water.

I used this for my student film shoot. It was easy to use I didn't have any problems or feedback issues. The range is great and I got good quality sound from it.
Comments about Azden WLX Pro Wireless Lavalier Mic System:
Well this Lavalier Mic goes half way to being a good value. Price is right, but frankly, it looks and feels like a toy. Clip for belt loop, feels like it will snap off in due time.

I have shot 3 events with this so far. For weddings, it is so-so. The signal is a little hissy if there are objects (people, props, lighting equipment etc.) in the way when the distance between receiver and transmitter is only 25 feet.
Outside, if a person comes between the receiver and transmitter, it can make a popping sound. It works well up to about 25 yards, and then the signal becomes hissy. There seems to be a sweet spot, not too close and not too far away.
For the money, it does the job. But I will definitely be upgrading to a better UHF system. I will keep this one as a back up though.

Comments about Azden WLX Pro Wireless Lavalier Mic System:
For a baby boomer, non-techy person like me, this set was incredibly easy to use in recording videos that I have created. The microphone was also easily concealable and still captured my voice. The clip was a little tight for my feeble fingers, but I still managed to squeeze the clip enough to stick; which is a good thing. Thanks for a great product with an affordable price tag.

using this mic on a noisy location shoot to isolate dialogue for a documentary. Does a good job of it. can still hear the background noise but it is reduced to just that, background noise which does not interfere or drown out the dialogue. have used pricier models and for my needs this mic is more than satisfactory. Were I shooting a narrative rather than a doc. I would probably want something on the higher end.

I use this product to conduct interviews. I have two of them running into an external recording device which works great. Granted, these things are pretty undurable and cheap feeling, but for the price, or for a beginner I think they are fair.
My most recent use took place in a noisy club where I was interviewing the owner. Even over the band playing 20 feet from where we were shooting, our voices could still be heard.

Used for interviews where there is too much noise in the surroundings (Waterfront with boats passing by, wildlife, autos, etc.) Sound quality and range are exceptional, we have equipment 10 times more expensive and the output, range and quality are the same, so I highly recomend this Azden Lavalier...Very easy to use with 2 ch option.EXCELLENT product for the amateur or the PRO.[...]

Comments about Azden WLX Pro Wireless Lavalier Mic System:
I used two of them at the same time and they worked fine. I had to make some adjustments here and there for interference, but I don't know if it was the mic's or the neon signs in the area. They sound good and pick up well. I would say there are better ones, but not for anywhere close to the price of these. I'm also very clumsy and have already dropped them several times and they are solid. Great Value.

I have been using this to capture audio for wedding productions. So far I have used it at 3 weddings and the audio has been great. Only issue is that it picks up every movement from the clothing once you have it attached to your person. This can cause some loud audio spikes.

Interference on VHF signal at about the 200 foot mark (about 65 meters). Old design and simple construction, but honestly it works. It's simple, effective and cheap I don't know what more you could ask for in a unit like this. It works the only question will be, for how long?

I used this project as a quick audio solution when helping my cousin with his senior video. I didnt think it would sound that good but I was surprised at how well it sounded. The only problem is that it is in mono but I think if you can fix that in post and sweeten the sound with some know-how then this is a great product for the price

Comments about Azden WLX Pro Wireless Lavalier Mic System:
pros: fairly inexpensive, they get pretty good audio in somewhat quiet settings. I used mine in a doctors office to do an interview and the audio came out pretty clean.
Cons: no variable input controls on the transmitter or reciever, it all has to be done through the camera, so if your camera isn't capable of that, your hands are tied.
all in all, I think it was a pretty good buy for the price. I've only used them on one shoot so far, but they're now paid off because of it.

Comments about Azden WLX Pro Wireless Lavalier Mic System:
I got this wireless lav system and was deeply disappointed by it. The transmitter is garbage, I could get better quality out of a walkie-talkie.
I was standing less than 10 ft. away from a person wearing the mic and transmitter, and was picking up static every time the person spoke. The advertised range is 250ft. but it can barely work a tenth that distance.
Returned this for a refund.
