Audix OM3 - Dynamic Handheld Hypercardioid Microphone
The Audix OM3 handheld microphone is a proven utility for capturing vocals and general instruments in recording and sound reinforcement applications. The OM3 is the first microphone in the Audix line to incorporate VLM technology, resulting in exceptionally high output levels and low-noise floor.
The dynamic capsule features a hyper-cardioid polar pattern that effectively minimizes noise and ambiance at the off-axis sections of the microphone. It's rugged enclosure is designed to withstand the rigors of use on the road. The OM3 is ideal for capturing vocals and instruments with high transient response such as drums, percussion, brass, guitar and more.
- Hyper-Cardioid Pattern
- The hyper-cardioid polar pattern is most effective in eliminating signal at the off-axis sections of the capsule, allowing use in close proximities to monitors and speakers without feed back.
- Contoured Frequency Response
- The 50Hz to 18kHz frequency response provides a natural low frequency roll-off, eliminating low frequency noise and hum.
- High Output Gain
- The OM3 incorporates VLM technology at the output stage to provide excessively high gain level while maintaining a low noise floor.
