Comments about Petrol PEHRN Over-the-Neck Harness - for Eargonizer Bags:
I got the Petrol Over The Neck Harness to go with a Porta bRace case that holds my Sound Devices 302 mixer and other audio gear.
There is no problem hooking this harness to use with the Porta Brace case. The harness has lots of adjustment and one configured correctly, it helps distribute the weight of my gear well across both shoulders which is better than a single sling.
The audio case is held in position well with the waste band.
About the only negative is that the detachable phone/ comms holder is mounted really high on the shoulder starp and was hitting my chin when I turned my head. The simple solution was to detach it!
Get this harness- your shoulders and back will love you for it!

Petrol OTN harness is a very well made item that works well as designed and is comfortable for my audioman's needs. It offers a wide variety of adjustment and holds the mixer bag in a nice adjustable position. A keeper for sure!

For those sound guys who carry a big bag, this is a must. My sound tech wouldn't be without his. It really helps to distribute the weight. On a long shoot, those audio bags seem to gain weight as the day goes on. This really helps him get through the day.

Comments about Petrol PEHRN Over-the-Neck Harness - for Eargonizer Bags:
I've tried a few other harnesses from other brands, namely PortaBrace. I saw Petrol at the NAB show in Vegas awhile ago and gave it a try. Honestly once you get this thing adjusted to your body, which can take some time and maybe a second hand, it almost feels like you aren't carrying anything. This is a big improvement over my last rig which was just an over the shoulder bag carrying all my mixers and recorders. Not fun to wear that during a 20 hour day. Bought with the 302 bag which also rocks. When compared to the PortaBrace stuff, I really dig the Petrol bags more, and you can't beat the pricing.

Comments about Petrol PEHRN Over-the-Neck Harness - for Eargonizer Bags:
I just used this for a 3 day shoot packing a 442mixer, 744t HD Recorder, (4)411's, 1 hop, boom, (2) NP1's, and misc. cables, ect... (Fairly heavy bag)
It's not broken in yet but overall it seems comfortable. I had a little trouble quickly removing it and also snapping it back onto my mixer bag (Petrol Bag) when I needed to take it off. The multitude up adjustments seem a little over complicated but I'm sure I'll get it dialed in.
The two negative things I noticed was the interior mesh shoulder straps rubbed on the sides of my neck and bothered me enough to be uncomfortable late into the day. The other thing was the straps under my armpits rubbed enough to annoy. I'm assuming it's just the break in period and will "Hopefully" soften up after some usage and adjustment.
If thats the case, I think this will be a good harness after the break in period.

Comments about Petrol PEHRN Over-the-Neck Harness - for Eargonizer Bags:
This Petrol harness is great for those long days in the field carrying a heavy audio rig. I've used it with double mixers and up to 7 wireless receivers. Distributes the load and makes those run and gun days on location a lot more fun. Very adjustable and therefore very comfortable. B&H price makes it a great value. I highly recommend.
