The Bowens Esprit Gemini Two Head, 1000 Watt/Second total AC/DC Monolight Kit operates on 110-120 volts AC or with its own optional Travel Pak Battery System. When away from AC power, the optional Travel-Pak is able to power two monolights simultaneously, with a total power of up to 1500 w/s. It is capable of recycling one 500 w/s unit to full charge in 4.5 seconds, and can offer one unit over 200 full-power flashes on a single charge.
The monolights can power down to 1/32 power, which makes them very suitable for use with digital cameras and for augmenting sunlight outdoors. The 250 watt modeling lights may be powered down with the main power.
This kit is completed with two umbrellas, which soften the light for a more pleasing portrait. Also included are compact light stands, sync cord, and padded wheeled kit bag.

Comments about Bowens Esprit Gemini Two Monolight Kit (120VAC/12VDC):
I use Bowens products for years. I experienced various extreme situations and they never failed to work. The only weak side about the package deal is the light stands which are not air cusioned, otherwise I'm extremely happy.

Comments about Bowens Esprit Gemini Two Monolight Kit (120VAC/12VDC):
This is my first set of lights but bought them based on the fact that I know Bowens is a respected leader in monolights and A magazine I read and trust the reviews of gave it there editors choice award in a recent review of several kits offered by top brands. I am very impressed with the quality as I thought it would look a little cheaper all the items set up with no problem and before I knew it I was doing my first shots. I have much to learn still, but was glad when several students at my photography school was very impressed with what I got then was shocked when I said it was under [$]. Wish I had the cash to get the kit with the travel pak but no biggie I will buy it and a softbox soon when I can. This is one great kit all in all.

Comments about Bowens Esprit Gemini Two Monolight Kit (120VAC/12VDC):
I just bought these lights for my portrait studio. I used them for a portrait promotion that required shooting for 8 hours straight over three days. These lights worked perfectly! They are very sturdy, they stayed cool, and the recycle time was faster than I expected. Also, the color was very consistent throughout.
I used a "softlighter" on the main light instead of the umbrella that came with the kit. If you are shooting portraits, I'd recommend getting a medium to large softbox.
These are great lights for the price.

This was my first real strobe set and I was blown away at the quality. I've always wondered why the well known brands cost so much...till now. Its clear why, you get fantastic build quality, quality parts and accessories and most of all there very reliable. I never worry about whether they'll burn out on me. You won't be disappointed.
