Before you buy any bag make sure you know what you want the bag to do for you, what you want to carry and where you plan on using it, because there are many bags designed for different situations,& maybe you need 2 types of bags.
Anyway, I needed a bag to carry my Canon GL2 Camcorder, with wide angle lens, battery packs,Egripz, mini DV tapes & other accessories, & when that's packed in I neede additional space for my Nikon F6, at least 3 lenses, lens hood, filters, batteries and other nicks & nacks.
Yes that does sound like alot, because it is, when I am out on a job it's so much easier to haul one bag than two separate bags. This bag allows me to carry my Nikon SLR camera my Cannon GL2 Camcorder and my Tripod.
So if you are like me where you do both Photography & Videography or if you just need to haul a lot of stuff and you need just one bag that's not the size of a suitcase then this is right for you.
The bag can be buckled around your waist and it has a shoulder strap for support, then if you need something just twist it around infront of you, you dont even have to take it off.
The bag is rugged on the outside and soft and cosy on the inside, great protection.
Because of the large amount of stuff I carry when I pack my equipment I have to take my lens off my SLR camera, but when I am shooting I am using everything, the bag stays on my hip if I want or I can put it down anywhere without a second thought of the ground condition.

Comments about Kata WS-604 GDC Waist/Shoulder Case:
The bag is bigger than I thought. It's nice to be able to customize the interior with the velcro strips to make it handle the way you prefer. I like all the padding for my camera gear, but the bag is definitely larger than what I need for my camera gear and I ended up packing it full of stuff that I wouldn't normally carry, just to fill the space. The padded belt strap is a nice feature since the shoulder strap doesn't stay on the shoulder as well as I'd like. The outward opening top, is definitely handy when you want to get to your gear quickly.

The bag is built to last. It has great small pockets, for those items you use a lot, but don't want to put in the large part of the bag.
It has a ton of nice storage slots, pockets and is a joy to have and use.
