The Kata Koala-4 Mixer Case is designed to carry and organize two- or three-channel audio mixers, and other essential sound equipment. Within its wireless compartments, cables stay tangle free when you stow them in the storage area in the bottom of the case, and feed them through handy connection ports. The case includes a BSS padded shoulder strap, for carrying the case on your shoulder or across the chest, or you can use the optional OVH Opposite V Harness for other working configurations.
- Main pocket houses your mixer and connectors.
- Front pocket has room for up to four wireless mics and/or your power supply unit.
- Zippered front compartment holds batteries, spare cables, and a videocassette for the cameraman.
- Two zipper pulls---one on each side---allows you to pull out four antennas, two from each hole.
- Quick-release side panels protect equipment from rain and dirt while offering swift access to connectors, controls and displays.
- Two straps to hold your boom while you're not working.
- When weather or location demand extra protection, unroll the Koala's vinyl top covering.
- The interior of the bag is made of a loop fabric called Yelloop to which you can attach the Modi-Vers dividers. It is a bright yellow material, so that the contents can be viewed with ease.
- All the wires can be transferred from one compartment to another while keeping all of them inside. There is a D-ring for extra wires.
- BSS Shoulder Strap can also be used diagonally when attaching one end to the D-ring. Or use the OVH Opposite V Harness for additional configurations.
- Compatible with Sound Devices 302, 744T, 722, MixPre 2 and other 2- or 3-channel mixers.

Comments about Kata Koala-4 Mixer Case:
Very well made, adequate for zen-simple setups. I have the Sound Devices 302 and a Zoom H4N for backup recording, a Lectrosonics 401 receiver, and a few cables - now I can barely close the bag. Might be okay for some, but too small for an average audio kit that contains a combination of wireless receiver, battery distribution, and small recorder.
I prefer the Petrol 302 bag instead.
