Comments about Domke Photogs Vest (Small, Black):
Good large pockets for lenses. The "Small" size fits me well and I normally wear a Misses size 10. I would not be able to zip it if worn over a heavy fleece but it will be fine over a shirt. Seems well made. The shoulders are not really padded- just a double layer of fabric.

Comments about Domke Photogs Vest (Small, Black):
I bought this vest for two reasons: first, to load camera gear onto my person in case my carry-on luggage has to be checked, and, secondly, to use in place of (or in addition to) a camera back-pack during my next trip. I am very impressed with this vest. It is bulky for its size; I wear an extra small (size 2-4) and this feels like a large to me, but fits okay over sweaters or the light jacket I'll be taking. But the pockets are great! To test it, I loaded it with a Canon 24-105mm lens, 70-200mm lens, and a camera with 100-400mm lens attached (placed in an inner pocket and supported with its neck strap, since it doesn't go all the way in that pocket w/ camera attached)... plus a Tamron 28-300mm lens, 2 filters, a few memory cards, and my wallet. There were still some unused pockets.

Comments about Domke Photogs Vest (Small, Black):
This vest is very nice...heavy duty compared to other vests, but not heavy on your shoulders. It has plenty of pockets for lenses, meters, note pads, cards (or film), etc.
The downsides: the "padded shoulders" are not really padded (extra layers of material, but no real padding). Doesn't have pocket large enough for my 500 lens.
I am a pro female photographer and the small size is roomie enough to hold bulky items even over sweaters.
All in all, though, I would certainly recommend this product above other vests. The material is thicker and can take some wear and tear.

After years of hauling around a full bag with two or three bodies, lenses, film, etc. I went digital and got this vest. It's not heavy but quality-made and comfortable to wear, even with equipment inside. The advantage-- carry only what you need at the time, leave everything else in the bag. These vests from Domke are sized large-- the "small" fits me well-- 38 inch chest and 40 inch waist and the length is perfect (I'm 5-8).
