Still retaining all of those fabulous and unique features that make the Holga world famous, the Holga 120FN takes Holga photography to the next level. It is a fun way to enter the world of medium format, and can yield very interesting results. Its fixed-focus 60mm f/8 lens is perfect for creating the pictures Holgas are known for; soft and dreamy, with a slightly wide perspective and a distinct vignetting at the corners of the image.
This version of the Holga includes a built-in flash, which allows you to add some light to images where needed for more creative control. You'll only need 2 'AA' batteries; the shutter is fully mechanical. A window on the back allows you to read the paper on the 120 film, so that you can have 12 6x6cm square images per roll or 16 6x4.5cm vertical images per roll.

This is a little plastic toy camera which is used more for vision so you don't get hung up on the technical aspects of the camera. It is a rangefinder in which you are not getting on film what you see. That is the fun part of it...you are leaving alot of the technicals to chance. It is an experimental process which makes it more creative and and it allows more freedom when shooting. Another benefit is that every holga is different and so you will get different results using each one.
The negatives is that you need to tape it up otherwise you will get light leaks. Also the clips on the side can come loose freely if you don't tape them. Another negative is that sometimes for a plastic lens the images come out too good...too sharp.

I'm not exactly a photographer, but this is a really fun beginners camera. The strap broke the first day i got it- but it was small and weird anyways. The camera itself is pretty "okay"- no veiwfinder obviously. I had to look online to kinda figure out holgas situation- meaning the instruction manual wasnt too helpful.
For cheap its fun! and the filter set was pretty sick also.

I took five shots, on the sixth one I heard a strange sound and since then I was not able to use the flash. The camera in general is nice and the low price of the camera adds value to it. If I need to buy another one, I would buy one without a flash. I also think the camera should be redesign to look more modern.

I got another Holga camera after the buckles on the side of my old Holga started to fall apart.
Although this camera is plastic and cheap, the photos it takes are full of personality. I would recommend it to the photographer looking for additional shots that are moody; a different way to shoot your scene.

I know, it's a Holga: quirky, experimental...and cheap. Well, it broke after 5 rolls. Yikes! The shutter broke, and soon after the winder followed. I was able to [*] rig it to shoot, and resorted to counting winder strokes to estimate frame size...but it turns out (after I got the film processed) it wasn't advancing a full frame ever! So...buyer beware. I even took it apart but couldn't get the shutter working again. I did get some great frames, though, which is why I'm buying another.

This camera was a required purchase for a photography class, to learn the basics with regular film before moving to digital. It has been an interesting experience that I would recommend for everyone wanting to get comfortable with photography.

I was a little hesitant about getting the holga with the flash at first, but it was so worth it. It exaggerates the vignetting for a really eerie effect. It also isn't like most of the new holga's where you don't get any vignetting or light leaks.
The zone focus works great but takes a little getting used to. It is definitely hit and miss with some of the photos but thats all part of the fun.

I was told it was a great point and shoot med format camera. I have had so much trouble with lighting and light getting in. As soon as I am done with my assignment for class, I am going to list it for another photo student to buy.

I got this camera to get back to basics, and it is just that. The flash makes it a bit more versatile than the non-flash model, though. I have shot both color and B+W with it and the photos turn out pretty constantly. I have been taping up the sides and will try it without the tape this time, as the photos come out almost too good. The last roll I shot I removed the 6x6 clip all together and it came out a little more 'holgaish' around the edges, which was nice. The only reason I don't give it a 5 is that it can be a little too clean..I'm hoping that will change with age, scuffs on the lens, and no tape on the body. All in all I love it and it comes with me wherever I go shoot.

Comments about Holga 120FN Medium Format Camera:
It is a plastic camera that needs lots of tape and Velcro to stay together and to avoid the light leaks, but then the pictures are more then one can possibly expect. It is very simple to use basically no technical stuff just a button to press and the rest is up the person behind the viewer and some little chance. It is more art then accuracy and technique. Due to its low price it will allow you easily to modify it up to your tastes.
