This flash does a wonderful job of not only evening out lighting using the Holga 120N, but it can be used to create some pretty neat effects. The exposure table on the back is helpful and it provides adequate output. The recharge time is 4sec. with charged batteries. Totally worth the price as an accessory for the Holga 120N. The only thing that prevents this from being an amazing little strobe is that the head does not pivot.

Comments about Holga Holgon MF Manual Shoe Mount Flash:
This flash is great, Still on the first set of batteries after a few sessions. 4x AA batteries.
Super bright, even when adjusting the exposure like the chart suggests. I made a flash diffuser and things are much better.
Overall: Great for room and large area shots. Needs to be diffused for portraits and shots within 2 meters.

Simple and bright. Not sure what else you need for a flash for a Holga Camera.

Comments about Holga Holgon MF Manual Shoe Mount Flash:
I bought two of them and rewired the short adapter cables to a relay to trigger as lightening. I was using them as a special effect in a show.
It comes with a short adapter cable for remote operation. The hot shoe is generic and will work with older cameras. Requires 4 AA bateries.

I use this flash for super overcast days and at night. It's great to have a little additional light on the occasion I need it. It's easy to use and batteries seem to last really long.

Comments about Holga Holgon MF Manual Shoe Mount Flash:
Considering the price, it does what its supposed to do. While a pivot would be nice, for the price it is not expected. the flash puts out a lot more light than expected, probably too much, a diffuser is probably going to be necessary. A output adjuster would actually be more useful than a pivot. But again the the thing is so inexpensive, you cant ask too much from it.
For the price if I use it gives you one good shot, its worth its price. You might as well pay the small amount for the extended warranty, considering the batteries you put in the flash will cost more.

Comments about Holga Holgon MF Manual Shoe Mount Flash:
I bought this to use on my Holga so I could take lomography snaps indoors. It's no Canon Speedlite, but it does the trick. Plus it works with a bunch of my vintage cameras via PC sync.
Too bad the head doesn't rotate for bounce.
