The Audio-Technica 2000 series wireless microphone systems bridge the gap between affordable wireless technology and professional level quality. The ATW-2120 wireless handheld microphone system operates on UHF frequencies over the 656.125 MHz to 678.500 MHz band. The system includes the ATW-T220 handheld transmitter and ATW-R2100 diversity UHF receiver.
The ATW-R2100 receiver features True Diversity operation. This selects the better signal from the two receiver sections, reducing dropouts and radio frequency interference. The receiver features 10 user selectable UHF frequencies, allowing 10 systems to be used simultaneously. Single touch frequency scanning automatically selects clear frequencies in the area. The rear panel features a balanced XLR output and unbalanced 1/4" phone connection. A back-lit LCD provides channel, AF, RF and diversity status information.
The ATW-T220 handheld transmitter is a lightweight handheld microphone transmitter that operates on the same frequencies as the receiver. The transmitter features a cardioid capsule that effectively minimizes noise and ambiant audio at the off-axis sections of the capsule. The transmitter operates up to 9 hours on two 1.5V AA batteries.| System | |

Comments about Audio-Technica ATTW-2120 Wireless UHF Handheld Microphone System - Includes: ATW-R2100 Receiver and ATW-T220 Handheld Transmitter (TV 45-48):
I use this product along with three of the lapel mics for services at our church. I have only used one week as of now, but it seems to be quite good. I like how the switch does not have a standby mode. When you are working with people who have to share one mic, that used to become a problem. I don't like how the two AA (i would rather worry with ONE 9v) batteries are hard to insert/remove or test while in the unit. I make sure the batteries have sufficient voltage before handing them to the talent. This is not easy because the batteries are almost totally closed in at the ends. Testing the batteries is possible though. I believe I should buy the antenna distribution system. The RF signals are strong but if I move the antennas in the back too much that gets quite weak and sometimes cuts out. I was able to install four channels of these mics to replace "700" band units for less than[$]That was pretty good I[...]

I use these for indoor and outdoor karaoke gigs. Unlike VHF models, these UHF mics do not react to any outside interference and the receivers can be placed right next to each other without incurring any feedback. I also really appreciate that the receivers automatically choose the best frequency that is available. I now have three of these wireless microphones and consider them a strong asset to my performances.
The sound is excellent and the range is outstanding.

This wireless microphone is an excellent buy once you discover how to setup properly. You have three areas to setup in the base and another two in the headset. For me was very complicated to achieve a pure sound without the feedback from the loudspeakers.

We're using this wireless mic system in a multi-purpose room in a school, with a basic Peavey PA system, and it works wonderfully. I could barely get any feedback from the mic even when I tried. I only wish that the on/off switch were on the side instead of the bottom, or if there were a secondary audio on/off switch on the side.

This mic worked great right out of the box. System is very quiet, easy to set up and use, and the sound is transparent. Very happy with it.
