Batteries and the external power supply are not included. Make sure you get the batteries or power supply you need.
The BOSS FS-6 is essentially two switches in one, combining latch and momentary switching into one unit. Sporting two heavy-duty switches housed side-by-side, the FS-6 allows each switch to be set for latch or momentary operation, depending on the individuals' playing style and setup. Individual polarity switches are also available for each pedal.
The FS-6 is equipped with a 1/4" TRS (stereo) input jack, and requires a stereo cable to function properly. This footswitch may be used with a wide variety of instruments, rhythm machines, and guitar or bass amplifers offering channel switching.

The FS-6 pedal is a quality product from Boss. I purchased this pedal for use with the Roland VG99 guitar system, the GR 20 guitar synthesizer, and the Boss Eband JS8. Works as it should on these items. I rated the pedal as 4 stars simply due to the fact that I cannot attest to its useability on products outside Roland manufacture. Although,I feel the FS6 would probably work in any application requiring a foot switch. The plus side of the FS6 is the fact that polarity for the A & B functions can be selected independently. Also, either A or B functions can be set for momentary action or latch action. Momentary being active as long as the switch is pressed, and Latch mode being equivalent to switching a light switch on or off by pressing one time. The only minus side of the FS6 is that it requires a 9 volt battery and there is not a provision for using a 110volt/9VDC power supply.

I bought before I researched. This footswitch is great for start-stop on drum machines and each switch can be either latched or unlatched. Unless I didn't read correctly the switches won't operate without a 9-volt battery and the only way to power off the switch circuitry is to un-plug the 1/4" plugs which is a pain for a permanent setup.

I'm using it as page turner for my iPad, especially with ForScore, the music-reading app. It works excellently for that, and it's rugged enough to stand up to constant use.

I use this with my Epiphone firefly 30 amp. I would buy it again. You do need to pull the cord out of the pedal when you are finished with it. Thats what turn it off. Uses a 9 volt battery would be better with 110 adapter. All in All its a great pedal for the money.

I bought this to turn on/off the preamp modeling and reverb on my Boss ME-70. Typical Boss quality. Built like a tank and works great. The only thing I'd like to see is a power supply input so I wouldn't have to depend on a battery. (But I quickly remedied that with a 1 SPOT battery clip converter.)

This product works great. I brought it for the BOSS-DR-880 Drum Machine and I had two functions instead of one. It takes a 9 Volt Battery and it works great. No On/Off switch the power is disabled when you disconnect it from the TRS cable.

Comments about Boss FS-6 - Dual Latch and Momentary Footswitch Pedal:
It works great. The versatility of switching between latched and momentary makes this the universal footswitch standard. I use it for switching amp channels. Works great in a Roland cube or Alesis drum machine. Just don't forget the cables since it doesn't have any with it.
