The Roland VH-12 V-Hi-Hat is an electronic high-hat that is built and acts like its acoustic counterpart.
Since this electronic version features top and bottom cymbals with a full range of motion, stick and pedal work has a completely natural feeling.
The dual-trigger VH-12 can produce all high-hat sounds, from open to half-open to closed positions. It mounts on a traditional acoustic high-hat stand, and is compatible with all the advanced sound-shaping options of the Roland TD-20 and TD-12 drum modules.
The VH-12 is made of two separate sections that move like a real high-hat moves. It even mounts on a traditional high-hat stand. This allows for completely natural playing.
The dual-trigger VH-12 can produce all the tonalities of an acoustic high-hat (including the half-open position), and then some. Even after the high-hat is closed, further pressure to the control pedal will continue to vary the pitch and decay of the triggered sound.
