The Gepe Card Safe Extreme Combi is a watertight case made to store memory cards such as Compact Flash, Smart Media, Memory Stick, MMC or SD cards. It can also hold a small battery such as: NB-L1H, NB3L or any battery up to 1.93 x 0.39 x 1.26" (49 x 10 x 32 mm) in size. Inside the memory cards are protected against humidity and dust as well as electrostatic charge. Two compartments offer space for several different memory cards and grip each of them tightly.
The Card Safe Extreme Combi uses insert material to protect the memory cards from being erased or damaged due to electrostatic effects. The card holder also has special viewing windows so you are able to see which space is taken by which card, even if the box is closed. This makes the organization of your cards easier. In addition it is weatherproofed, and floats in water and the design of the lock makes using the Card Safe a snap, even when wearing glove.
The Card Safe Extreme Combi has been tested and certified as european IPX-7 which means it is protected against water immersion (Immersion for 30 minutes at a depth of 1 meter).

Some may say this case is a bit over-kill. I say this case is called Extreme for a reason. It is a single beefy side latch system for opening and closing. One side of this case uses the rubbery material you store your cards in to overlap the plastic edge acting like a gasket when closed. If you want a rugged tuff card case this is for you. Feels strong and can take abuse. Even if you don’t plan on shooting in bad environments it gives you piece of mind that your cards are safe. I only gave this product four stars based on the four card limit. A bit modifying by Gepe could give this case Eight SD card storage instead of four.

I needed something small to carry a spare battery and the remote for my camera. After a little modification to house the remote, it worked perfectly. Very nice!

And what they don't tell you, if you use both SD cards and CF cards is that each slot can hold one of each, stacked like a bunk bed.

Comments about Gepe Card Safe Extreme Combi:
This is the most secure case I've seen for memory cards; it appears to be indestructible. My only complaint is, I bought it to hold only SD and SDHC cards, and it will only hold two of those, even though there are four slots for cards of all types.
What would be great would be an interchangeable rubber insert that would let the user mount any combination of whatever cards they have.
Great product, though.

Bought 4 to carry all my cards. My opinion? Made for war but just a little to tight. Hopefully, they will loosen up quickly.

Comments about Gepe Card Safe Extreme Combi:
I have 2 of these cases for my CF cards and can't imagine using anything else. 99% of the time I'm shooting it's on or near water, sand, mud, etc. and I haven't had any issues so far.
The cards are definitely a snug fit but they will loosen up over time. Not to the point where the cards will fall out but enough so that getting them out isn't a struggle.

I was kayaking in the Galapagos Islands and wisely decided to not take my camera, but I forgot about my Gepe card safe in my pocket. Well over I went and I was shot out of the kayak when the life vest inflated. When I got back on our home ship I realized that my cards were in my pocket. No problem, not a single drop of water was inside, all four of there card were fine, and I am still using them two years later. I recommend Gepe card safes to everyone that ask.
