The Custom-Brackets CB Digital-T Flash Rotating Bracket is a simple and easy-to-use bracket that features a pivoting flash arm that keeps the flash centered above the lens in both horizontal and vertical position.
The CB Digital-T model is slightly taller than it's smaller brother the "S" model, and will accommodate even larger SLR cameras that have an add-on power grip or booster. Camera can be mounted with grip on either side.
Note: Requires FT-JR for shoe mount flashes.

Sturdy build - no plastic. The flip bar is spring loaded so it doesn't move. Easily flips when shooting vertically. The "upside down" screw you see in the picture is currently in its storage position using the only threaded hole on the flip bar. (You move this to one of the 3 holes at the end of the bar to mount your flash).was puzzling but once I received the bracket I saw that this specific hole was threaded to hold the screw while it was in storage. My biggest nit about this bracket is that the flash will not stay tight using only the supplied screw. You will need the anti twist plate accessory that goes on the flip bar. Also, this thing is most likely too bulky to store in a bag with your other gear. This isn't so bad as I was able to attach it to a flap outside my bag leaving more room inside.Only giving it 4 stars because of the loosening screw issue. They need to jack up the price of this thing [$] and just include the anti-twist plate. After this, it's a great bracket.

All build quality praises aside, this is an awful flash bracket. I wrote a review a few months ago giving it 4 stars, dismissing the issues with the bracket because of the wonderful quality.
The flash rotates freely on the bracket no matter how hard you tighten the screw. Additionally, I have to use a hardware store screw since the supplied screw is not long enough to extend past the Chimera Speedring. Cork was added to the bracket to relieve the issue, but it still happens on occasion.
The grip being on the right side of the camera, while simplifying the bracket's construction, ruins the experience of using it. You have to wedge your hand between the camera and the foam grip, and it seriously hinders work. If you mount the grip on the left side, the flash rotates to be on the underside of the camera. That's really only good for ghost-story lighting.
Those two issues were enough to make me throw the bracket away after a wedding two weeks ago. CB does make quality brackets, but this is not one of them. I have since moved up to the Pro-E bracket, which is considerably more expensive but suffers none of these pitfalls while maintaining the fantastic build quality CB is known for.
If anyone wants one for free, my old one is in a dump somewhere waiting to be found.

Comments about Custom Brackets CB Digital-T Flash Rotating Bracket:
I used the bracket for eight full hours in both the landscape and portrait positions while shooting a wedding. The biggest issue I had with it is with rotating the flash arm to the portrait position. It worked fine but I think it could have a more positive locking mechanism. I am really glad I bought this one over a cheaper model because even though I have never had or used the cheaper model, I feel this one would be far superior to the one I was looking at. This item is made from machined aluminum and is of a very high quality and works well for it's intended purpose. I don't feel like you will be disappointed with this bracket unless you are used to using a high dollar camera rotating bracket.

Part of the top and bottom bars of this bracket were machined out to reduce the over weight.
It is light, but very solid and well built.

Bought flash bracket for use at a wedding gig. GREAT INVESTMENT!! Took over 1000 pictures, half in the darker dance environment with not one red eye. I've spent a lot of money on L-lenses, but red eye will always ruin a night shot. Comfortable to carry and very stable. Well worth the [$] invested.

This bracket accomplishes the purpose of getting some distance between flash and lens. It's simple and well made. Though not over engineered, it is study enough for the purpose.

Comments about Custom Brackets CB Digital-T Flash Rotating Bracket:
This is a well made, rugged metal flash bracket. The bracket mounts both right and left on the camera and has several holes on the top of the bracket to help place the flash directly over the lens. The bottom of the bracket also has a sliding hold to help position the base on the bottom of the camera. The bottom also contains a standard tripod mounting hole.
I didn't order either anti twist plates for this flash bracket and honestly don't need them. The base has a cork bottom which has yet to twist out of alignment with my camera. The flash's hot shoe does twist but I was able to stop this with a $0.05 1/4" rubber o-ring from the hardware store. Place it between the hot shoe and the bracket and it creates enough resistance to prevent it from turning.

Comments about Custom Brackets CB Digital-T Flash Rotating Bracket:
Overall, this product does what it says, however it only rotates one way making the camera awkward to hold in landscape profile. Otherwise, it is sturdy and holds the flash very well with little to no movement. Don't forget the anti-twist plate.

Comments about Custom Brackets CB Digital-T Flash Rotating Bracket:
I was looking for a rotating flash bracket for weddings and other special events to keep the flash above the camera when shooting vertical. I tried other manufacturers, but Custom Brackets wins out. A solidly built product. The bracket arm locks securely into both horizontal and vertical configurations. Other reviewers commented that mounting the hot shoe atop the bracket seemed to be not as secure as it could be. I feared the hot shoe with flash attached would twist on the bracket arm as it doesn't tighten as well as I would have liked, but the flash never moved in my first week of use. I will sandwich a piece of cork or thin rubber between the bracket arm and hot shoe in the future - just in case.

Comments about Custom Brackets CB Digital-T Flash Rotating Bracket:
First off: The build quality is fantastic!
Now, the downsides: With the grip on the left of the camera, my normal portrait orientation places the flash underneath the camera. I need to place the grip of the bracket on the right side of the camera to allow the flash to remain above the camera. Bummer!
I also use a Chimera softbox (size: XXS) with my flash. The screws that allow flash attachment are not long enough to go through the Chimera speedring adapter. I had to purchase a screw from my local hardware shop and alter it to allow the attachment of my full flash kit.
It's a low-end flash bracket that works very simply. For the money, you get incredible construction and simple operation.

Comments about Custom Brackets CB Digital-T Flash Rotating Bracket:
Bracket does what it is supposed to do - - allows you to get the strobe away from the lens. I use it for shooting events and find it comfortable for long days although it does get a little heavy toward days end. One thing I wished the bracket came with is the anti twist plate. You really need the plate because otherwise the flash will turn on you when you rotate to portrait position. Otherwise a great bracket.
