I was able to elonggate the slot so that I do not have to remove my L plate to add my custom bracket then the anti twist plate up against the L bracket so it cannot move while providing more room for my hand to not hit the flash.

To allow to bar to use for different cameras, the bar should be designed to be more flexible in the attached position and there should be more holes on the bracket to allow more choices of positioning.
