Have several big events this year where I needed a camera that would take quality pictures and I found it! Main use has been outdoor sporting events and the ease of taking action photos is phenomenal. At first reading the manual was a bit overwhelming since I've always had a Point & Shoot digital but after focusing on the basic uses and finding a friend with experience, I'm catching on very quickly. A great camera! Only negative is the LCD is a little dark to see when outside in the sun.

This is a fantastic camera and a great price! I've been doing a lot of still life, studio, and nature photography with and the images are just stunning. The kit lens is nothing special and I haven't used it much but it's nice for general photography, most of my nice stuff is taken with really old all manual prime lenses which would be a lot harder to use on more spontaneous stuff, like people.
I was surprised at how low the noise was at higher ISO compared to similarly priced Nikon cameras, the noise at 1600 obvious but images taken at 800 and below look great.
Being able to set the camera to Adobe RGB is great and the RAW images are wonderful for Photoshop users.

This is my first DSLR and it's been a great experience so far. I just love that I can read books on digital photography where they talk about a certain setting or feature and this camera has it! I have noticed that some pictures aren't very sharp, but that's probably due to me getting the settings wrong or my shaky hands. I just bought a tripod and it's made my pictures sharper for the most part. Bottom line, it took me a few years to drop the cash on a DSLR, but I'm glad that I did. This is a great price for this camera.

Currently using the camera to take shots of my 1 year old, her cousins and friends.
I'm still in the learning phase as I've only had the camera for 2 weeks, but so far I love it. I have experience with a 35mm Canon Rebel, so some of the basic features did transfer. I read some reviews that the grip was poor, however I haven't had any issues with this (I do have smaller hands though). I have noticed that the use of a tripod is required when shooting with some of the advanced settings, but really that's to be expected. The software that came with the camera is ok for basic use, but doesn't have all of the edit features I'd like for professional use. I'll probably be investing in a different editing software in the near future.
The camera itself gets 5 stars from me, but the support website is barely a 1 star. I find it hard to navigate and I have yet to get anything useful from it. Hopefully that comes with practice!
