The Leupold Alumina™ system is a great lineup of various accessories to complement your Leupold riflescope, and in some cases they work with specific Leupold spotting scopes as well. Likely the most useful portion of the Alumina™ system are their filter offerings, available in YL (yellow), OG (orange), BZ (bronze) and OP (optimizer) designations.

The Intensifier kit consists of the OG (orange), BZ (bronze), OG Optimizer™ as well as finely-machined male and female threaded IS-Stacker covers to keep the whole setup in a durable and compact package.

- The OG (orange) reduces the blues and greens of a scene to unearth the best of the red and yellow spectrum, increasing color saturation and decreasing the effects of haze. On bright and cloudy days, game hunters should combine this with the OP Optimizer™ to achieve significant game contrast improvement in late morning through early afternoon lighting.

- The BZ (bronze) filter acts as a rebalancer of colors, amplifying the difference between foliage and game animals. Brightly-lit areas will be toned down a bit without significantly decreasing the cooler colors. It is great at making white targets from silhouette competitions stand out against their backgrounds.

- The OP Optimizer™ works great when combined with the YL, BZ and OG filters to magnify their effects. The image is optimized through its capacity to cut out the contributors to "muddy" coloring, so that the red tones so common to game will stand out much better against their backgrounds. The filter's capacity in target shooting is best utilized when sighting black targets against natural backgrounds.

The components of the Intensifier Kit are not sold separately.

NOTE: The Alumina system of accessories is compatible with 2004 and newer Leupold riflescopes, but does not fit any of the LPS series or the VX-III 1.5-5x20 riflescope.
