Was hoping to connect my Notebook (has VGA and HDMI ports) with an old TV (that has S-Video and Component ports). Saw this adapter cable on the web . . . thought it would work. [...] IT DID NOT WORK. BASED ON A FURTHER QUERY ON THE WEB, IT WILL NEVER WORK. WILL ONLY WORK IF I WAS TRYING TO CONNECT TO A PROXIMA, ETC.

I was able to plug this into my Toshiba projector to get 1080i from my Blueray player and absolutely love it. Great picture and a good buy.

Why pay many times more for another name brand item when the quality in this one is superb.
