Comments about Nikon -3 Diopter for Rectangular-Style Viewfinder:
There isn't much to say about this item. It is exactly as it says it is. I have owned several of these in the past and will continue to purchase them for future cameras. This one went on a D40 that I keep in the car.
Other reviewers have lamented that there is no rubber eye cup, but the diopter can easily be fitted with the one you remove from your camera in order to attach this piece of equipment.
If you wear glasses, I cannot recommend this enough. Especially if you ever find yourself at an awkward angle trying to move your glasses so you are not looking over them.

Replaced stock diopter on my D300. I have astigmatism and with this diopter, I am now able to see more clearly through the viewfinder. Especially helpful when focusing manually.

Standard item, but would be much better with a rubber cup around the diopter.

Comments about Nikon -3 Diopter for Rectangular-Style Viewfinder:
I am nearsighted by -3.5 diopters. With the application of this diopter and full adjustement on the internal diopter control I get sharp focus through the view finder without having to use my glasses.

Comments about Nikon -3 Diopter for Rectangular-Style Viewfinder:
Wearing bifocals and taking photos sometimes is very annoying. Adding the eyepiece diopter to my Nikon D300 has provided me with a renewed enjoyment of photography. My prescription is -3.5 diopters, but adding the -3.0 diopter (no half size increments) works just fine with the fine adjustment lever. Highly recommended for those eyeglass wearers wishing to get closer to the viewfinder

Comments about Nikon -3 Diopter for Rectangular-Style Viewfinder:
For those of us that don't have 20/200 vision or even 20/20 vision This item allows the eyepeice to be viewed crystal clear without the need of glasses which are hard to work with against the back of a camera. The only issue it has is the regular eye peice rubber stopper does not slide over the diopter hence 4 stars out of 5.
