Product is a good idea - I wanted a small controller to run ableton live with that would travel well. The large dials appeared to be more sturdy when compared to other controllers out there and the specs are a bit smaller than most.
I didn't realize that it did not have usb connectivity when reading the specs on it. This just seems like poor design. This means it's completely useless to me without a midi interface as well, which means another piece of gear to A.) worry about and B.) travel with.
The idea behind this piece of gear is that it's small. In reality it's not that small for what you get, it could be half the thickness and a bit smaller in the other dimensions as well.
The bottom line is that smaller gear usually implies the need to save space or the desire to travel with that gear and not giving this box usb connectivity really misses both ideas.
