A lente Sigma 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 DC é especialmente otimizada para câmeras digitais SLR e oferece uma solução em lente superzoom "tudo-em-um". Esta lente oferece a faixa focal equivalente de aproximadamente 27-300mm quando utilizada com uma câmera digtal SLR Pentax (*).
Seu design incorpora lentes aesféricas e vidro SLD (Special Low Dispersion) que oferece a melhor correção para todos os tipos de aberrações e permite que esta lente superzoom estendida seja acomodada em uma construção leve e compacta.
As lentes DC foram exclusivamente projetadas para câmeras digitais SLR. O círculo de imagem (parte de trás da lente) é projetado para combinar com as menores dimensões usadas para o sensor de imagem das câmeras digitais. O resultado é que essas lentes também são mais compactas e leves, e são mais adequadas às câmeras digitais SLR.

I wanted a lens that would replace my standard 18-55mm kit lens that wouldn't break the bank. The reason why i chose the sigma is due to the fact that it's a great bang for the buck- it's about an 11x zoom and it's very sharp. I also like how it's an internal focus so the petal hood that comes with the lens works perfectly with it. It's pretty darn compact and durable as well. My only issue with the lens is that at full zoom it's a 6.3 aperture which is slightly darker so you have to compensate a stop or 2. People complain about lens creep but i'm not running around like a lunatic... Overall, it's a compact, strong lens that's sharp as a tack and easy on the wallet!

I was very excited to get this lens. When it came I was not a happy camper. AF would work only in the wide angle. When I would zoom in on anything it would stick and not work. This was my first Sigma lens....so maybe it was just a fluke thing and I got a bad one. I sent it back for a refund.

I bought this lens for a vacation to Disney World, where I wanted one lens to do it all! It did! From wide angle to zoom...the lens was perfect, and user friendly. Picture quality was superb!

This is my new all-purpose lens. The large zoom range is fantastic, greatly reducing the number of lens changes needed. This lens really makes my DSLR a lot more user-friendly. It seems to be well constructed and feels very solid and sturdy. Image quality is great. The specs say the minimum focus distance is 1.5' but mine focuses consistently at 7-8" from the end of the lens. Perhaps Sigma measures from the base of the lens? Of course, there is the usual distortion at the extreme wide end, and this is not a fast lens. However, this lens is a great value and is certainly acceptable at least for my needs. If you are looking for an everyday lens and your expectations are kept realistic, you could be very happy with this lens.

I own a great deal of lenses, zooms and primes included but bought this lens for the wide range of zoom. I just took in on a week vacation and it was ideal for a travels lens - wide to decent tele with a great pricetag. I would have given 5 stars for the purpose I bought it but gave it 4 because I think it could have been slightly faster but overall its a good lens for a good price.
