The only writing tool I trust to mark my archival discs

Comments about Delkin Devices Archival Gold CD/DVD Pens (2):
This pen needs to be constructed with a much finer tip, that will fascilitate writing detailed small-lettered printing on the surface of the disc. The disk has very limited space to write on, thus necessitating a very fine-tipped pen!

Horrible pens. Used one pen a couple of times. Went to use it again and it, and the second one, were both dried out. Should have listened to the other reviews I read.

Alcohol free. If you store video or photo files in dvd's, never use permanent markers, they cause damage to the dvd layers and risk of data loss/damage.
These pens get the job done. No frills

The pens are fine. They do the job. I wish the nibs were finer, but it is not a big deal.

Don't know how the ink will look in 25 years, but it writes very neatly and clean....better than a sharpie...

These work great for marking up cds and dvds however I damaged one of the tips by not putting the cap on carefully enough.
Comments about Delkin Devices Archival Gold CD/DVD Pens (2):
Marks CD's and DVD's clearly. Ink does not smudge. You do not have to 'rewrite' in order to make text readable.

I use these pens to mark my CD's and DVD's. There is no solvent in the pen so it will not do any harm to CD's or DVD's.

If you are going to spend the money on archival media you should use archival marking pens. It just makes sense.

Use these pens on my DVDs I archive photos on. Haven't used it for long but so far seems to work great. Used a Sharpie before and am glad I now have this pen.

At Nikon School seminar I took it was said that you should not mark a CD/DVD (that was intended to be an archival copy) with a Sharpie marker sine it could contribute to the deterioration of the disc over years.
This pen is exactly what I was looking for and it comes from Delkin.
