The CAD M-9 cardioid condenser microphone delivers a sophisticated combination of tube analog warmth, with the pristine audio quality of solid state output circuitry. The M-9 features a 12AX7 tube in a circuit that is optimized for super wide dynamic range and low noise.
An advantage of this unique design enables long cable runs without noise and loss in performance. The M-9 is powered with the external MV200 power supply module. A 16dB pad switch increases headroom for minimizing peak distortion when capturing loud, transient signals. A high pass filter switched reduces low frequency noise associated with proximity effect, ambiance, etc. The M-9 is a work-horse solution for capturing vocals and instruments in both project and professional studios.
