A Brother PocketJet 3 Mobile Printer Kit is one of the smallest, lightest and most effective full-page printing solutions you can buy for your on-the-go monochrome printing needs. Whether you use a laptop or a handheld device, the PocketJet 3 will give you sharp text, crisp graphics, and high-quality documents in almost any environment, including extreme temperature and pressure variations.
At barely over 10" (25.4cm) long and weighing 1.12 lb (508 g) including the battery, the Brother PocketJet 3 fits easily into your briefcase, computer bag, or can be quickly mounted in any vehicle or small work area. Using advanced Direct Thermal Printing Technology, the Brother PocketJet 3 eliminates the need for messy and expensive ink, toner, or ribbons, and achieves a respectable 203 x 200dpi resolution.
If a USB cable is not connected to the PocketJet 3 when it is turned on, the IrDA (infrared) connection is automatically enabled for printing wirelessly. Make sure your computer is set properly to send data via its infrared port, make sure the two infrared ports are aligned toward each other, and proceed to print.
This kit includes: 100 sheets of 8 x 11" (letter) direct thermal paper, a rechargeable Ni-MH battery, a faux leather carrying case and a 6' (1.8m) USB cable.

After trying out several thermal printers for my sales dept., I settled on this Unit. The Unit was affordable. The package came with everything I needed to get started. Be careful you do not purchase the "Engine only" Unit for a lot less. Set up was very easy compared to other brands. In no time I was printing contracts cleanly and quickly. If you need quick, clear and reliable printing in the field, this is the one you want.
