The Applied Microphone Technology (AMT) S18C is designed to accurately reproduce Cello. Designed for crucial recording or professional sound reinforcement applications, the S18C features a high quality condenser element with a tight cardioid polar pattern. The result is an audio signal with rich, accurate detail and minimal noise caused by adjacent instruments, monitors and room ambiance.
The S18C features an external power supply / output stage with a single 3-pin XLR output. The external power module enables a sleek, low-profile microphone design that provides easy positioning without damage to the instrument's surface. The attachment mechanism is designed to clasp to the instrument without damage to the instrument's finish. A flexible 10-inch gooseneck allows easy positioning over the sound hole. The microphone itself features a 4-point isolation suspension system that eliminates handling and surface noise.
