Comments about Nikon MC-21 Extension Cord for MC20/22/30:
I have an MC-36 remote control which doesn't provide the flexibility of moving around once the camera/tripod is set up. The MC-21 Extension Cord lets me do just that and provides support for all the functions of the MC-36, since it is a 10-pin cable.
Look and feel is just what you would expect from Nikon and I expect that it will be with me for a long time.

Comments about Nikon MC-21 Extension Cord for MC20/22/30:
Typical Nikon quality that enhances the ML-L3 qualities.
Have purchased with Nikon's ML-L3 infrared trigger so that i can extend its off camera remote triggering capabilities.
I intend using it to target the entrance of a Great Bowerbird. I can use the 10' reach to move the ML-L3 and its infrared trap function well in front of the camera lens so i can capture the bowerbird exiting and entering the bower entrance.
Weather sealing for the join would have been a bonus. Maybe next version Nikon.

Comments about Nikon MC-21 Extension Cord for MC20/22/30:
I don't own a long lens, but I wanted to take pictures of birds near my bird feeders. I was able to connect this this to me camera, run the extension under my window and just shoot away. It did just what I wanted it for and the results are very interesting. I have my tripod set to it's lowest setting, and so I am able to take pictures that really don't look like everyone else's. Thing is I am now getting pictures of deer and squirrels that come right up and almost touch the lens of my camera.

Comments about Nikon MC-21 Extension Cord for MC20/22/30:
Good well insulated cord, excellent sealing on camera coupling. The only detractions I feel are the rather large coupling base. Would have liked to see sealing plugs to protect both exposed cord ends when not in use,and the rather clumsiness to install for someone with fat fingers (like me).

Comments about Nikon MC-21 Extension Cord for MC20/22/30:
Great accessories when you need to trigger your camera from distance. For portrait you can closer to the subject and improve communication. I used it for self portrait as I can hide the camera in a bush or under something and trigger from away. The only disapointment I have is the cost. I know it's Nikon, but at the end, it's only wire and connector.
But I have no regret.

Comments about Nikon MC-21 Extension Cord for MC20/22/30:
I'm using it with my Nikon D300 on a tripod. The extension cord is just what I need for large family group portraits including small squirming grandkids if I want to be included in the picture. The 10 second delayed timer never seems to work that well with little kids. A large mirror behind the camera also helps. Could also be used for nature photography, shooting from a blind at a distance from subject e.g. a birds nest.

I bought this at the same time as MC-36 and have used it about one third of the time I have used the MC-36. I can now stand 3 metres (I think thats about 10 feet) away and shoot with a hand held flash.
