If you're like me, you'd love to have a dozen or so transmiters to plug into the end of a RE-50 type handheld mic for doing wireless interview work.
My reality is I don't use them that much, it's all lavs. So to get by with great audio in a handheld wireless system with out the "BP" transmitter just order this adapter. Believe me, the price was right. I usally would wire up a couple of connectors but the TA5's are getting too small for even a soldering pencil. Did I say the price was right. Every Audio guy should have a couple in his kit. Sure, in the future I"ll purchase the application specific transmitter, business has to get a little better.

This adapter is great for helping to maximize your investment in your Lectrosonics transmitter/receiver set up. This allows me to do two things - 1) I can now use a wired handheld mic with the Lectrosonics wireless beltpack for presenters who prefer to go that route instead of using a lav and 2) I can now connect into a mixer and get a wireless signal without running cables. It's got a little over 3 feet of cable to allow for a presenter to move the mic around and enough cable for convenient placement of the transmitter beltpack.
