The DTI (Dual Transformer/Isolater) from ART is a high quality, totally passive audio interface that uses a pair of high performance transformers to totally separate input and output signal grounds, thereby isolating two systems and reducing hum and ground-loop noise.
The unit's audio transformers have an extremely flat and wide frequency response and can handle high signal levels while maintaining an isolated balanced output. This gives the DTI a very clean and neutral sound with a wide variety of signal sources. The transformers are wound for 1:1 unity gain and are designed to be used with impedances from 600 Ω to 100k Ω.

Comments about ART DTI - Transformer/Isolator:
I use this between the audio signal from the sound board to the audio input of a video camera. Before using this I had a hum when I was plugged into the wall outlet and not using battery. Once in place the hum has dissipated and I now have clear audio on my recordings.

Comments about ART DTI - Transformer/Isolator:
I give it one star for form-factor. Otherwise it fails in the MOST important aspect of all: SOUND QUALITY. Not much humm/buzz reduction in my experience. You 're better off with the EBTECH Hum Eliminator (which costs a little more). But you WILL get what you pay for!
