I purchased this light as an accessory to be used with flip style camera, Samsung E-10, for low light shooting. Illumination not bad at all, but two complaints. After a week of use the plastic nipple broke off and for some reason the light often turns itself off after only a few minutes. I do like that it can be mounted to a tripod. Needs better build if you are going to take it on and off mounts. Nice idea, didn't hold up in the field.

This product only barely finds a "good use". It's beam is pretty narrow and bright, or off color. Perhaps best used to light objects, or areas further away because close up it makes itself very noticable. It's like a bright bike flashlight. Clever mounting mechanism works well. The on/off switch is easy to trigger which could be a problem when packed away and gets a slight bump and turns on.

I like to take low-light pictures using ambient and run into a problem when it's too dark to clearly focus. This little unit is easy to turn on, give enough light to focus, and easy to turn off. For that much, it does the job well enough, although the price is a bit high if you intend to use it just for focusing. I recommend this unit for fill-lighting only for small point-and-shoot cameras. Since the unit attaches to the underside of the camera, my hands kept blocking the light while I focused when it was attached to my D-SLR. Also, the screw is all plastic on the basic model, and I recommend against using it only with small and light cameras on tripod.

Just got the CameraBright light today in the mail. Put it on my Nikon P5100 turned the screw nice and snug and...broke that little thing right off! Now I have to go and try to get the remaining piece out of my camera!This is a good idea, the LEDs are bright but not a very high quality product overall.
