CameraBright's X1RW Video Light is for today's digital still cameras that have the ability to take excellent videos and movies. The problem is that these cameras are only provided with a flash unit at best, which only works for a split-second. When taking videos, you need a light to come on and stay on. CameraBright lights are designed to turn on and stay on while you take your video. The advanced technology built into every CameraBright light ensures continuous, simple, single button operation; push the button once to turn the unit on, and push the button again to turn the unit off. If you forget to turn the unit off, it will turn itself off in a matter of minutes, thereby ensuring a great video next time.
This Warm White version is ideal for portrait Photography and videos where the main subject is people. The warmer color balance provides more pleaseing skin tones and makes bacground colors less harsh.
You can stack up to 3 units to meet the needs of a variety of shooting situations. The CamerBright X1-RW can also be tripod mounted. Battery life for these units is approximately 4 hours.

Comments about CameraBright X1-RW Warm White Digital/Video Camera Light (Black):
This led light serves a purpose, but you need to be close enough to your subject for it to be effective. I photograph dogs at an animal shelter so it isn't always possible to be close enough for the light to be of any use. It does work well as a fill "flash" and added light for indoor shots, but doesn't have the umph I was hoping for.

Comments about CameraBright X1-RW Warm White Digital/Video Camera Light (Black):
I like to take low-light pictures using ambient and run into a problem when it's too dark to clearly focus. This little unit is easy to turn on, give enough light to focus, and easy to turn off. For that much, it does the job well enough, although the price is a bit high if you intend to use it just for focusing. I recommend this unit for fill-lighting only for small point-and-shoot cameras. Since the unit attaches to the underside of the camera, my hands kept blocking the light while I focused when it was attached to my D-SLR. Also, the screw is all plastic on the basic model, and I recommend against using it only with small and light cameras on tripod.
The light from the X1-W model is better suited for protrait photography.
