Today's digital still cameras have the ability to take excellent videos and movies. The problem is that the unit is only provided with a flash unit at best, which only works for a split-second. When taking videos, you need a light to come on and stay on. CameraBright lights are designed to turn on and stay on while you take your video. The advanced technology built into every CameraBright light ensures continuous, simple, single button operation; push the button once to turn the unit on, and push the button again to turn the unit off. If you forget to turn the unit off, it will turn itself off in a matter of minutes, thereby ensuring a great video next time.

If you intend to shoot video in the lowest light(dark) it will give you a clear range about 6 feet not the 20 feet is says it will. Also the video will have a blue led color. OK if you shoot people while they sleep.

I was hoping to use this with my Kodak Playsport to get some 'decent' fishing footage at night. While the 4 LED's are bright, they are not focused at all, and I don't believe go to the advertised range at all. If you are taking video of something close-up this could work, but anything beyond 6 ft, probably not. Also, the button on the back that turns the lights on sticks out too far and is easily hit. I have had this in a pocket, or even a small bag and inadvertantly turned the light on...

Purchased a SDR-S7 video camer and though it works well in a darker room I wanted to give a bit of additional light on the subject. This unit fits the bill. It is light and small to complement the S7 by extending its range.

This is a great addition to any camera or camcorder. It is very easy to install and use. These LEDs are really bright. Also, it is not detailed in the product description but, underneath the light unit there is a female screw-in for your tripod. Overall I am very pleased with this product.
