The Vixen Half Pillar is a 9" (23cm) extension tube for the Sphinx and SXD series of telescope mounts, and provides increased observing comfort near zenith when using long focal length telescopes. When pointing your scope nearer to the equator, the half pillar also prevents the weight shaft from colliding with the tripod.
It is also compatible with the Skypod mount if you remove the protrusion (that mount also has its own specific half pillar).
