I bought this NP-1 cap to power my field mixer with NP-1 batteries. Currently, I am only running the mixer with this device, and everything works fine. Batteries stay nice and snug in the cap, the connector is solid. Eventually, I'll be adding a Battery Bud to my rig as it expands, so I went with this cap for that reason...It works "stand-alone" to power my mixer for now, and will work with the Battery Bud in the future to power more of my gear.
