I bought 4 of these Impact Lion batteries in Feb. 2007 for use in a Canon G7. All 4 have been heavily used. They recharge quickly and last a long time (hundreds of images). I do underwater photography with the G7 in a Canon housing. I put in a fresh battery and go all day. The last thing I need is to have to change a battery on the beach or boat. I don't like to open the case until I'm back in the room. These batteries have worked great for me.
I also shoot a lot of video with the G7 and I have no problem filling a 4 GB memory card. In fact I have used a single battery to shoot several 4 GB cards with regular video (on land) and even playback for review.
So I recommend them. I'm here to buy a couple more for a dive trip to Belize. I did buy and use the Impact charger with these batteries so perhaps that is why they are working well for me. I wish you luck.

I have lost many shooting opportunities because I forgot this battery was in my camera. USE ONLY AS A BACK UP IN CASE YOUR MAIN BATTERY LOSES CHARGE DURING A DAY OF SHOOTING. I now have the battery externally marked so that I can not mix it up with the superior canon battery. It is that bad.

I bought this battery in Aug of '08. We kept thinking we forgot to charge it. My wife took it off the charger this morning after being on it overnight. I put it in my G9 to format the card and the red low battery indicator came on. I put it in the charger again and the light turned green after less than 5 min. JUNK.
I had the same issue with this brand (Impact) for batteries I bought for my 20d.
Fool me once.

I shoot high school soccer and there's nothing worse than running out of charge and not having extra batteries in the middle of a game, or between JV and Varsity. It never fails that's when someone does something amazing and you miss the shot. Extra is always better!!!! I also have a Canon brand battery though, and it seems like it may hold the charge longer and recharge just alittle faster, but in a pinch who cares!?! And that may be all my imagination. For the price difference between Canon brand name and this, it isn't enough to drive me away.

I'm on my second Impact battery. The first one lost the charge so quickly [...]However, the second one is perhaps a year old and suddenly won't hold a charge. I charged it last week, turned on the camera today, and took perhaps 20 pics before it shut the camera off entirely. No warning, just shut down. It never held a charge that long, but now it's just useless. I'll be buying another Canon one and will be tossing this one in the trash.

I have two of these. Both worked great when I first got them but now after slightly less than one year and probably 30 recharges one of them won't hold a charge. After fully charging it with the Canon charger I get maybe 30 shots before it's exhausted. I haven't checked the second yet to see it it is okay, it was the last time I used it.
However, the first battery went from working satisfactorily to virtually not working at all in one charge/discharge cycle, so both are now suspect and I'm looking for a different manufacturer to replace both.

I'm afraid I have to add myself to the list of people who found that this battery didn't hold up very long. At first I felt that it was just as good as the original-equipment Canon battery, but a little less than a year after I bought it, I was very surprised when this battery was exhausted after only about 50 shots. Since then, I can charge it up but within less than 100 shots it is out of juice again.

I can't get the battery to fully charge. I charge it until the charger says it is charged and when put in EOS Rebel XT it shows maybe 1/5th charged and dies after several shots. My Canon battery charges and works, this one doesn't.

6 months old and it won't charge at all. OEM battery is still working like a charm. This cut what was a good photographic day short. So if you need a dependable battery don't bother with this at all.

Phothograpy is my hobbie and I use this battery as a back-up, it does charges in a normal time but it does not last as long as the original.
