Comments about Cokin P007 Infrared Resin Filter for Black and White:

This filter is works great for color infrared. I use it with the Lee holder system by making an adapter board since the filter is round rather than square. It works well but the surface is very soft and easy to scratch.

It can be quickly attacher and detacher to every size of lense diameter. Works well. Just one filter fits all diameter of lense up to 82mm.

I like it a lot. Worth my money!

Comments about Cokin P007 Infrared Resin Filter for Black and White:

Okay, I have tried this thing out on many occasions and I am still not sure how to use it. I do wish Cokin supplied a manual on how to make it work with your camera. I have tried shooting this and it is a very dark lens filter. On a sunny day you can hold it up to your eye and barely make out a tree fifty feet away. You have to shoot at a high ISO if you do not have a tripod and you camera color mode will need to be in red otherwise all your images will appear red in the camera. This is not for beginners, and as a semi-pro I am still fumbling with it so consider not using it that much if you are not really interested in IR work. You can send in your camera to companies and have them convert it to IR for around one hundred dollars and this is half that but you can remove it from your lens. I am still iffy on this one because of the difficulty of use when shooting and pall the post processing that needs to be done after the shot. 4 stars though because it does work and heck, you could even shoot an eclipse with it as dark as it is.

I bought this to play around with InfraRed images. It works great for capture allowing me to then manipulate into full blown infrared shot

this is an excellent product. my only issue deals with flare. if i shade the top of the filter the flare goes away. i think this is inherant to cokin filters. it is not enough of a problem to worry about.
